What is Hospice Care?

Hospice care is a philosophy of caring focused on improving the quality of life for patients and their families faced with a life-limiting illness. The primary goals of hospice care are to provide comfort, relieve physical, emotional and spiritual suffering, and promote the dignity of terminally ill persons.

A Patient-Centered Approach with Team-Oriented Care

Who is Eligible?

Patients with a confirmed diagnosis of a terminal illness and limited life expectancy certified by a physician and who elects to receive palliative (comfort) care.

Who Pays for Hospice Care?

Medicare, Medi-Cal and Private Insurances generally cover the Hospice costs in full.
Victoria Hospice Services accepts Medicare, Medi-Cal and most Private Insurances.

Refer a Patient 24/7

Any person or organization may refer or recommend patients for hospice services.
